Work has begun in earnest on the new Fisheries complex at the lagoon, which will provide new facilities for local fishermen to unload, store and sell their catch. There will also soon be a community centre in Barbuda, next to the Nurse's hostel on River Road. It will offer a reading room, a twenty-one space computer suite for technical and vocational training courses and space for Council meetings, village events and weddings.

Prime Minister Baldwin Spencer attended the ground-breaking ceremony. The Barbuda Council are providing the labour force to complete the work.

We like this...

Now, it's been too long.
Too long, too long in slavery.
Free the people and let them move in liberty
Now, it's been too long.
Too long, too long in slavery.
So the struggle continue.
But while the struggle continue, I'm going to tell you.
We rastaman will set the world free...
