barbudaful hotels
There are only two hotels on Barbuda, both are all inclusive, luxury resort hotels: Coco Point Lodge and the Lighthouse Bay Resort. The K Club is now sadly empty, having been abandoned by its Italian owners, and is for sale. The Beach House (formerly Palmetto Hotel) is also closed and awaiting development. North Beach is a small local resort with four cottages on the beach.
Coco Point Lodge
Coco Point Lodge is a unique all-inclusive resort, secluded on its own 164-acre peninsula, bordered by miles of pristine pink and white sand beaches. Guests are met at Antigua's airport for the 12-minute flight to Coco Point's on-property runway.
All Coco Point's 35 tastefully appointed bedrooms are in beach-side cottages and buildings, each with a lushly planted veranda, which looks directly out at the Caribbean's vast expanse of blue.
Lobster and local seafood, fresh West Indian fruit and vegetables, and an
enticing array of fine imported wines, meats, and cheeses, are expertly served in the restaurant's tropical garden setting.
Coco Point guests enjoy a variety of activities including fishing, sailing, snorkeling, water-skiing, windsurfing, sea kayaking, tubing, tennis, and informal trap shooting. Also available are a variety of excursions to points of interest on Barbuda.
Coco Point Lodge has its own website, where you'll find more information and pictures, at www.cocopoint.com.
